Frequent Comments and Questions

To help you out, I surveyed some of the Blueprint Tribe about any reservations they had before signing up for coaching. Here’s some answers!

What is coaching? How do I know it works?

Coaching is an ongoing intentional conversation designed to draw out your full potential and help you close the gap between where you are and where you want to be through self-discovery and powerful action steps. This could be for your whole life or specifically for your leadership of a team and organisation. You gain greater clarity and build momentum towards your desired growth areas in a safe, encouraging environment that keeps you accountable. You can find out more about coaching here.

According to a global study by the International Coaching Federation (of which I am a member), 99% of coaching clients are satisfied with their coaching outcomes and experience. You can find out more about the impact coaching has had on other leaders here.

I don’t think I’m a leader. Is this for me?

It could be, but it might take a shift of thinking:

Are there people that you interact with frequently and whose lives are or could be impacted by your actions and decisions? You could be a leader.

Do you have a passion or idea that could benefit your family, friends, team, community or society? You could be a leader.

I think the question isn’t “Am I a leader?”, because we all have the capacity to influence, and that question only gives us a static yes or no answer that means some people are in and some people are out. The Good News tells us we are new creations; dynamic, transformational beings; and that Sauls can become Pauls. So, the real question is, “What kind of leader are you becoming?”

If you’re prepared to have that conversation and follow through with action (something that coaching helps with), then this is for you.

I’m already so busy! How much time will coaching take?

Coaching conversations are generally 60 minutes and take place every 4 weeks for your choice of 6 or 12 months. Coaching actually saves you time, since it makes you more focused on the things that matter and helps you develop strategies to rid yourself of the things that don’t. To sign up, head here.

What does it cost?

Coaching is a significant investment in yourself, the people you love and the things that are important to you. As a Christian leader, I know the reality of financial restrictions. Often, we don’t have much personally and neither do our organisations. I believe coaching should be accessible to all leaders, especially those with less resources. So even though the average marketplace rate for coaching is $300-$500 an hour, I work hard to keep my rates between $120-160 an hour and provide pro bono coaching to leaders on the margins. That’s a great deal for you and releases me to work with great leaders like you!

2021 coaching rates:

  • 12 months - One payment of $2000 or quarterly payments of $550

  • 6 months - One payment of $1100 or quarterly payments of $600

Where are you based? How do we meet?

I coach leaders all over the world via Skype or Zoom. The majority of leaders who have shared their stories access coaching over Skype. If you happen to be based on the Sunshine Coast, QLD, we can negotiate face-to-face coaching.

Can I express myself freely?

Absolutely. You are the most important person in the coaching conversation and my greatest desire is to give you the space to speak freely. What is said between you and me stays between you and me unless release is required by law. As a professional Christian leadership coach, I adhere strictly to the ICF code of ethics.

Why do I have to do the enquiry call first?

It helps us get to know each other! I want you to come into coaching knowing how it works, what to expect and that it’s a worthwhile investment for you. I also want us to get clear on what you want and how I can help you get it, so we can get started with momentum. The work is most fruitful with leaders who are prepared to be fully present to the coaching process. The call helps us each decide if it’s a good fit!

How does the call work?

1: You sign up here. You answer some questions and then I’ll send you a link to book in a call.

2: We’ll talk about your goals, challenges, and what you want to get out of coaching. You’ll get to ask an opportunity to ask any questions and I’ll get to understand how to best help you.

3: You decide if you want to continue and we lock in your first coaching session!
